Thanks for the response.
Actually I am unable to send a sample document since I deleted the file (by the
way I could not send the corrupted file because it contained confidential data
that I could not delete as it would not open). I was able to read it from
google drive but not to modify it. Finally, I managed to convert it to xls via
Zamzar online service. Then I was able to open it correctly using Calc. At the
moment the error did not happen again. If it can be useful I can send the
coverted file erasing the confidential data but bear in mind that that copy
works fine.
