I can confirm this bug, as originally reported, is in the current version of
libreoffice/calc in debian testing:
Version: 5.2.4.1
Build ID: 1:5.2.4~rc1-1
CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Linux 4.8;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8);
The patch proposed in comment 9 does not affect the behavior (should a separate
bug report be filed?)
