Does it only happen during printing, or during PDF export as well?
I assume only during printing, at least my PDF export of random Cyrillic
characters looked okay.
Could you check with 5.3.0.1 available at [1]?
Instructions on installing it separately from the current version are available
at [2] (SI-GUI is an excellent tool for this purpose).
