Sorry, on a freshly installed system the problem is still here, or at least,
extremely similar. Let me know if this is different enough to open a new bug.
This is the time to open an empty document for the first time:
1) Without workaround:
.odt : instant
.ods : 22-24 [s]
.xlsx : instant
2) With workaround:
.odt : instant
.ods : instant
.xlsx : instant
Again, the workaround is:
SAL_DISABLE_SYNCHRONOUS_PRINTER_DETECTION="true"
For instant to add this in your .profile
export SAL_DISABLE_SYNCHRONOUS_PRINTER_DETECTION="true"
Currently my LibreOffice version is: 4.3.3.2
