This version of the Avant Guard font doesn't have a glyph for Euro.
You can verify it with FontForge (http://fontforge.sf.net, or "sudo apt-get
install fontforge" in Debian/Ubuntu).
Therefore it's not a LibreOffice bug.
You can:
- find another Avant Guard font with Euro symbol;
- add it to the font on your own using FontForge;
- ask someone to do it for you.
