--- Comment #6 from V Stuart Foote <[email protected]> ---
With OpenGL rendering the strikethrough does not center on the rotated glyphs,
and the position of the strikethrough differs between the Latin and the CJK
glyphs.
With Default GDI rendering the strikthrough may still be off center, how far
seems to depend on the font but the Latin and the CJK glyphs get closer match
of base for a seamless line.
I see this reproduced using Adobe Source Han Sans SC which I believe has good
vertical font metrics available.
On Windows 8.1 Ent 64-bit en-US with
Version: 5.4.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 0cd819b68ced2a95a127a246c0558153fbdbcae2
CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Windows 6.2; UI Render: GL;
TinderBox: Win-x86@62-merge-TDF, Branch:MASTER, Time: 2017-01-31_12:28:03
Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: CL
and with
Version: 5.3.0.3 (x64)
Build ID: 7074905676c47b82bbcfbea1aeefc84afe1c50e1
CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Windows 6.29; UI Render: GL; Layout Engine: new;
Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: group
Interestingly an Export to PDF places the strikethrough closer to centered
(minor difference between the Latin and CJK glyphs), and the OpenGL matches the
Default GDI. So very different from results for export, compared to rendering
to the on displayed document canvas.
