Open the database, open the table for editing, add a varchar-field with
5-string-length and try.
Open the attached database.
Open the table for changing the table.
Add a field and change the length to 5 characters.
Save the table.
Write something in the new field.
You could add text up to 20 characters without problem.
Reopen the table for editing.
Stringlength of the field has been changed to 20 characters.
