I don't have LibreOffice installed at the moment so I don't know which toolbars
are included with Writer, but if they contain at least the 'line' tool that can
be drawn in any angle, that would already be a major plus for me...
Alternatively, if it was possible to draw the detail in Draw and then
copy/paste it into Report Designer, that would also be a very nice possibility.
But methinks this is not supported at the moment...
The shapes that can be placed from the toolbar directly have special properties
like Visible, Print visible, etc, which are not present in Writer/Draw shapes.
Could it be that the shapes are same only in name/form but there is some extra
layer that makes them tick in Report Designer? And would it be a big issue to
apply the same thing for other toolbars that are present in Writer/Draw?
