Thanks. But which behavior can you confirm with that build?

We have to problems here:

a) Format brush and copy paste are bloating the spreadsheets with "thousands"
of conditional formattings.

b) An already "bloated" spreadsheet (like the one attached) cannot be used
anymore because of EXTREME bad performance.
