--- Comment #2 from James Perreault <[email protected]> ---
The bug previously reported happens in Windows 10, Ubuntu 16.04 and Linux Mint
Serena when using LibreOffice 5 and newer. I am using Office 5.3.0 on windows
10 with the same results.

It appears as if ...to use a Microsoft Term...be a "Undocumented Feature"?

When creating a new text box in LibreOffice Impress; If you want to choose a
specific font, one will notice some of fonts are missing. This appears to be
the way that LibreOffice "groups" fonts together. What this means is; if I
want to use a specific font contained within a family, I must first create my
text box then choose the font family and only when I choose the "More options"
can I select the exact font I want.

In previous versions of LibreOffice this step was unnecessary as all fonts were
available from the font list.

The change appears to have been introduction with the release of LibreOffice 5.
Unfortunately the grouping of the fonts has made using LibreOffice
unnecessarily clumsy. It would be nice to have been given the option to
enable/disable this feature.

I use multiple different fonts contained within one font family in a single
document. It would have been nice to have the option to disable this font
organization feature. I can see why someone who has hundreds of fonts would
want to organize them this way but its been a real source of frustration for
me.
