Quite reasonable, still a bit inconsistent with user expectations:
1) If something is unsafe, maybe it would be better to either: (i) test earlier
for the unsafeness and gray out the option altogether; or (ii) to allow the
user to set the option, keep the setting and provide a message like "OpenCL
disallowed on this system";
2) On the same system, openCL seemed to work with previous LibO versions...
