Normally they are stored in the user profile:

Under "autocorr" folder. Just tested by adding a new autocorrection exception
and it popped a acor_fi-FI.dat file there.
The profile should not be deleted upon upgrade, so that is your root problem.
Any idea what is causing it? You are not manually deleting it, right? Or with
some kind of "clean unused files" tool?
