It's the same in MS Office, you get the pen in a context menu. But agreed, this
feature could be made available additionally as a toggle button in the
presenter console.

The old picker is really not the best option. Better we use the new picker
which would have a recent colors swatch.

Good idea.
Maybe it's better to file three different tickets for these enhancements. IIRC
there is a meta ticket for missing color pickers but I didn't found it glancing
over search results.
