On pc Debian x86-64 with LO Debian package 5.2.5.1, I don't reproduce this with
gtk3 or gtk rendering.
Please give a try to a more recent LO version by using LO ppa (see
https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+archive/ubuntu/ppa)
