I think circular references to variables cancel each other out.
But the bug isn't with handling circular references here, as it displays the
correct result (at least I assume so, didn't check the numbers) after
adding/removing the +1 if you:
- do a hard recalc, or
- tell Calc to treat empty cells as zero in Options.
