Looking at the animated GIF the pasted text has direct formatting applied and
is using a font that is not installed.
Try selecting it first and then from Format -> Clear Direct Formatting (Ctrl+M)
You may want to work up a Style for the Numbered paragraph being copied over,
and then Paste special -> Unformatted Text allowing the new style to apply.
If that works, please close this WFM.
Otherwise please attach a test document (in .fodt format) with the clip(s)
attached so we can review the direct formatting/style conflict you are having.
