             Bug #: 52175
Summary: URL in document causes massive loss of data -- through
                    end of file
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 3.5.5.3 release
          Platform: x86-64 (AMD64)
        OS/Version: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: critical
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]

Under Tools > AutoCorrect Options > Options, turn on URL Recognition for both M
and T.

Type the following into a new document:

This URL ( http://url/page#THRESHOLDFORMAT ) will cause soffice to truncate the
document at nearly the end of the hash tag, thereby losing loads and loads of
useful work.

Save the document in Microsoft Word 2007/2010 XML Format (that is, .docx).

Type Ctrl-W twice to exit LibreOffice.

Open the document. Observe that the document is now cut off after "...FORMA".
The entire rest of the document is lost and can no longer be edited. This also
loses the page-format settings (page format reverts to A4; page margins are
lost; footer setting and content is lost). Quite possibly, other stuff is lost
as well; this is just what I've noticed.

I consider this a Severity 1 issue because huge volumes of data (many, many
pages, and many, many hours of careful work) can be lost without warning.
