This appears to be a case of the developer saying, "It's not a bug, it's a
feature", so I'll change this to an enhancement to request the old default
functionality back.
I understand that you offered a work-around, but there is absolutely no reason
why this shouldn't be the default behavior. This was a context-sensitive item
that only showed up where it was useful. So there really can be no argument for
removing it to clean up the menus.
