Aha! I just noticed that the cell is set to Number instead of Text - perhaps it
thinks the "/" (which means that C is in the bass of an A minor 7 chord) is
really "divide" and is therefore showing a formula? Setting the cell to Text
does cause the button to show Italic, but clicking it still doesn't remove the
italics.
