It is clearly due to running out of memory. I have 32 gigabytes of mem and I
could even fill right all the way to column O.
Does the crash ever happen, if you set the undo steps to 1 in Tools - Options -
LibO - Advanced - Expert config: org.openoffice.Office.Common/Undo ?
