--- Comment #1 from Regina Henschel <[email protected]> ---
Hi Christian, some ways to handle this:
(1) I have opened the "Formatting" toolbar as second toolbar below the
"Standard" toolbar. If I work on a shape or an image the "Formatting" toolbar
is closed and the "Drawing Object Properties" or the "Frame" toolbar is shown
at that place. That way the text window does not change.
(2) Drag the "Drawing Object Properties" toolbar to the place you want. Dock it
at the bottom of the text window or keep it floating at the bottom. The
position is remembered across session. So next time the toolbar will not open
at its default place but where you had it last time.
(3) Do not show the toolbar at all. Therefore click on a shape so that the
toolbar opens. Then disable it in View > Toolbars. This setting is remembered
too across session. To do not loose functions, you should compare the toolbar
items with the sidebar and the context menu of the shape. Most functions exists
in one or the other. You can then add the missing functions to the context menu
via Tools > Customize. At a short glance, I thing only the "Rotate" has to be
added.
