I tested it with LO 4.0 and 6.1alpha
Maybe there was no issue at all?
In the tab 'line' in the 'edit style' menu, the default setting for line width
is 0,00". So the is no line at all. If you set the width to e.g. 2", you'll see
the rounded corners.
Also no problem with saving and loading files (with those rounded corners).
