Thanks for looking into it. "Safety feature" is sort of an explain-all which
can easily be used to justify many a thing. It's not a convention among other
software to handle /tmp in a special way with regard to UX. What this feature
essentially does is presume I don't know what I'm doing, presume it knows
better, and get in my way, so I oppose it.
