The point is to design how we'd want it to look and have devs fix bugs that
show up due to the design and not just limit ourselves to what currently works
today. This has been the process of the evolution of the NB, like when the
glade-based custom group buttons didnt work until a dev fixed it (bug 105672).
The simple solution presently for this new document buttons, is to just disable
them until a dev is ready to fix the issue, but that could be said about any of
the other features that dont work today until a dev fixes it.
