Bug ID: 115150
Summary: Conditional formatting not working properly with the
"max" function.
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.4.3.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
Conditional formatting is not working properly in when the condition includes
the "max" function. See "Steps to reproduce"
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Copy the following table to a Calc sheet:
A B C D
1 6 7 9
3 8 0 3
7 2 12 2
5 1 1 1
2. Apply conditional formatting rule: "Cell value is equal to max(a1:a4)"
3. Copy the rule to the rest of the cells.
See also description and attached example file.
Actual Results:
Cells with non-max values are formatted, when they shouldn't.
Expected Results:
Only the cells with the max values in each range should have been formatted.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
OpenGL enabled: Yes
Additional Info:
It should be noted that applying the condition "Cell value = max(A:A)" for
every column seems to cause the correct behaviour.
However, this is not a real workaround, as it won't work in cases where the
column also contains sums etc.
Furthermore, creating a cell with contents: "=max(a1:a4)" and
copying-by-dragging it to the other columns (which corresponds to taking the
max of each column) in some cases changes the state of the conditional
formatting in some of the wrongly formatted cells.
