It's the same in LO 4.1 and OpenOffice. Not sure if it's a bug. At
https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Subtotals is written "Calculates subtotals
for the columns that you select", so you should select column in dialog?

First row is heading, that's the reason why not counted.
