I think, the information may be helpful:
In my file registrymodifications.xcu stands
<item oor:path="/org.openoffice.Office.Writer/Print/Output">
- <prop oor:name="Fax" oor:op="fuse">
<value>Fax</value>

But if I open Tools - Options - LibreOffice Writer, the Fax Printer is shown as
empty.
And it is a m a z i n g:
If I edit a Writer template and during this time I set the Fax Printer field in
the user options to "Fax". After this I save the template and close
LibreOffice. Now I restart LibreOffice, create a new document using this
changed template, look at Tools - Options - LibreOffice Writer: the Fax Printer
field is set to "Fax" correctly. When I create a new Writer document by using
any other template, the appropriate Fax Printer field is shown as empty.
Result: the Fax Printer field in the user options is depending on template and
document? Unbelievable.
I don't believe, that it is helpful to determine general, the user options area
is corrupted and the onliest helpful action should be to rebuild the user
options...
