On the desktop it makes sense and was likely implemented intentionally. But I
stumbled yesterday over this feature after switching to read only. The sheet
starts still where I left it and there is no chance in r/o mode to select a
cell (would be better to select but not edit). 

On desktop it would be the same problem when you send the document to another
author. Haven't tried this.
