Mike Allen <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] | |om --- Comment #2 from Mike Allen <[email protected]> 2012-08-16 04:19:41 UTC --- This is, without question, my biggest gripe with LibreOffice. There are regular and frequent updates (Great!), and each time I install a new version, I have to reconfigure everything all over again (Bad!). The reconfiguration includes personal info (name, etc.), file locations, preferred fonts, custom colors, etc. I've just installed version 3.6.0 to be faced with this yet again. To Sasha's comment about a machine hosting different versions of LO simultaneously, why, then, does the LO installation remove the currently installed version (on Windows, at any rate)? If you're going to remove the old version, you should copy over the configuration. Even if you're installing another version without removing the existing one, you should still copy the config over! If you're worried that the user may have a corrupt or buggy config, the installation should ask if they want to start afresh and import none of the existing settings. Further, once the old config has been overwritten by the new config (as happens on my Windows 7 machine), how do I "manually copy profile when needed"? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list [email protected] http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
