It seems you did not correctly maintain Ctrl+Shift keys pressed while hitting
once F9 key.
Your "blue arrows" are for Audit of your spreadsheet, to see which cell is
linked to which. They appeared because you hit Shift+F9 and not Ctrl+Shift+F9.
By the way, which locale do you use? Could you give the complete content of
Help> About LibreOffice?
