Thank you for your response. I now have Version 5.4.5.1 and I still have this
issue.
The behaviour changed in this version: I open File 1 with charts + data, I open
File 2 with only data, then I copy data from file 2 to file 1 and the charts
are updated immediately.
BUT, when I then copy the chart to impress, the old data is displayed in
impress.
Workaround is closing file 1 after copying the new data into it from file 2 and
reopen. Then everything seems to be o.k.
I hope this information helps to assign the bug.
