Let's try with an even more specific example.
- Start Writer.
- Create an eg. 5x5 table. The caret should automatically end up in the first
cell.
- Move the mouse cursor slightly above the first cell, so the ↓ (downwards
arrow) appears, and click to select the column.
- Check if Merge Cells is enabled in the toolbar.
=> It's not enabled.
