Installed it as a bundled extension.
chmod the directory structure and files of the extension in
/usr/lib/libreoffice/share/extensions/ with +rx
The extension displays in the Extension Manager as Locked (A padlock symbol)
The extension does not display in the LibreOffice Macros or My Macros in the
Run Macro dialog
This option, sadly, doesn't help, unless someone knows how to resolve the
permission issue.
Arguably, one shouldn't have to jump through these sorts of hoops anyway.
