I think it would be worth it to try the PPA from Ubuntu's LibreOffice team:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get -y dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install libreoffice
This is the PPA: https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+archive/ubuntu/ppa
