Steps I followed:
1. Download version 1.3.2 ->
https://extensions.libreoffice.org/extensions/alternative-dialog-find-replace-for-writer/1.3.2
2. Install it and restart
3. Go to Tools - Extensions and check for updates
3. Update the extension
