I have the same double display slightly offset when I double click in a cell to
edit its content and move the cursor inside the cell. Even with the fixes from
comments #86 and #87.
In branch 6.0 it appeared recently and after the fix, only with GTK3 backend
(no problem with GTK2 backend).
A bisection on branch 6.0 showed that the problem is introduced or reintroduced
by commit

I am not able to say if that is exactly the same bug or if it has only the same
effect.
I am available to test a patch. I build LO under Ubuntu/Unity 16.04 x86-64.
