Description:
I have a number of engineering drawings created in LO Draw, and the multi-page
ones have a drawing border with numbers, dates, and revision numbers duplicated
on each page.
These are in a layer called Borders, which makes it very easy to turn them on
and off.
But it is a right nuiscance going through each each page to change the date and
version number when there is a revision.
I want some way to do that in one place and have it appear on every sheet.
The three ideas I have come up with - and I have no particlar preference - are
* to have a master page/watermark page for draw pages, that is repeated on each
actual sheet. Then I could edit the borders in that and have them used on
every individual sheet.
* to have linked fields, that can be edited once and appear wherever I place a
linked copy of them. The "master" version of the fields need not be on a
visible sheet, it could be selectable through a menu.
* to have a master document type arrangement, maintained separately, that calls
in the draw document with the sheets in.
You have a master sheet for impress, and a series of fields for Write. And a
master document in Write. It should surely be easy to port one (or more?) of
them into Draw?
I don't want ot port my drawings from Draw to Impress, as I would lose the
layers capability
