Same here: after upgrading from 3.4.6 to 3.5.5 and then 3.5.6 (so late because
of bug # 47520 that broke my workflow and has been fixed then) with the vanilla
debian i386 packages from the download page I realized that all my templates
were gone and then after some googling that this move of configuration
directory had taken place. For me it was easy to do a "rm -r
.config/libreoffice && mv .libreoffice .config/libreoffice", but this will not
be the case for Joe average user. I consider it a severe bug that no migration
is provided by default, and I believe there are still users upgrading late.
There definitely should be a (silent) migration doing just this "mv
.libreoffice .config/libreoffice" provided that 1. there exists a
~/.libreoffice directory and 2. there is no .config/libreoffice directory.
Thats a 1 minute fix to every Linux installer.
