Bug #: 54092
Summary: FILESAVE: Save as text (*.txt) file is missing but
save as csv is available
Classification: Unclassified
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 3.6.0.4 release
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Status Whiteboard: BSA
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Problem description:
Not possible to save a *.doc file as *.txt file.
In the options tere i s no any 'save as text file (txt)' option. Unfortunately
there is a option to save as csv text but this is wrong because there is no
sense to save a DOC file a csv. This option must be available in CALC and
instead of it ine WRITTER we need the option to save as text file.
Steps to reprhoduce:
1. Create a file in Writter and save it as DOC
2. Open this DOC file with LibreOffice 3.6.0
3. Try to save as text file and you will see there is missing this option but
CSV and other options are available
Current behavior:
Instead of possibility to sava a file as text file and encoded text file, there
are availabrle options from CALC
Expected behavior:
In other (prast) versions of LibrexeOffice it was possible to save as text
file.
Platform (if different from the browser):
Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/534.34 (KHTML, like Gecko)
konqueror/4.7.2 Safari/534.34
