--- Comment #2 from Mateusz <[email protected]> 2012-08-27 22:58:34 UTC --- Hi Jochen, Thanks fot your comment. Four months passed from my post in April, and I have built up my "application" quite extensively, however, I am preparing now to move to another technology (APEX?), as LO Base is extremely counterproductive with it's own limitations. Back to my post, however: When I place a ListBox control on the form in LO Base, and I try to change via BASIC macro the "Background Color" property, the result is poor. So I am not able for example to use colors to focus user's attention. As I wrote previously, the whole issue is well described in the link. I guess this is an error which needs to be fixed, because the behavior of the ListBox's Background Color is very discouraging. The actual problem is being described in post by beastsdruid: "I believe I finally have it working so that it changes the font color according to a vlookup of D1 (linked cell of list box) in A1:B4. I have modified the list box to have a black background. One of the problems I'm having is that once you make a selection the text is still selected with a blue background (just behind the letters). This looks REALLY ugly. Even when you deselect the listbox the ugly blue background is left behind (behind the text only). Any idea on how to make that not happen (I have a bunch of list boxes with the same problem)."
