This also happens to me..sometimes. Now I'm on 5.4.7 but I experienced on 5.3
and before. Can't remember when it started.
Problem with this issue is not being reproducible, I guess.
What seems like a "few seconds hang" is probably a dump.
2 possible solutions:
- run LO via procdump (always or before longer work with copying text) to get
a dump
- upgrade LO to new versions and test whether it happens
