But author is a bit wrong. We have Example 17 Step 1.xls. We open it in LibO 3.5.6.2 (final release) and change anything you want (in any cell type any value). We save as... file in Microsoft Excel 97/2000/XP/2003 (*.xls) format (you even can simply save file). You'll see that file grown in size from 293 kb to 7.84 Mb (Example 17 Step 2.xls). Try to open resaved file Example 17 Step 2.xls in LibO 3.5.6.2 and we see import dialog (Example 17.jpg). LibO 3.5.6.2 corrupts saved files.
