Both workarounds from
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108619#c16 eliminate the
crash issue on my system. (Tested after adding that kernel parameter
temporarily, then running LibreOffice in Safe Mode, with JRE enabled.) Thank
