Thank you for the reply. The spreadsheet isn't for public release. I need
some time to create a mock up and see if I can reproduce the problem.
The steps I remember are:
Search all sheets for all occurrences of "steam engine"
I went through that section of the spreadsheet applying minor edits.
At some point I noticed a lot of empty cells. "steam engine" was not the only
text in these cells so I doubt it was a careless mouse click on replace all
with a blank target field.
When I reran the search it returned no hits.
I was not making global changes.
Please give me a few days to explore reproducing this.
