Hello. I was not trying to suggest to stay compatible by emulating the old
behavior. It would just be great, if LO could detect that a file was stored
with a faulty version and suggest to fix the settings automatically upon
loading such a file. Or, as mentioned, by providing a tool that does the
modifications for you.
