Are there *any* news with respect to this bug?
First reported in release 4.1.0.1, (09/2015) it is *still* present in the
5.2.7.2 release I use in my Devuan ASCII installation (Build ID:
1:5.2.7-1+deb9u4).
Unless I am reading the page wrong, it seems that it also remained unassigned
as of june 2016.
That's more than two (2) years ago.
I'm not a programmer so I do not have the knowledge or tools needed to help
with fixing it (save testing) but I strongly echo user seascape's words from
his post (#7) in february 2016, most emphatically his last paragraph:
