This is not the same as the problem you report, but the discussion on how to
resolve the problem indicates that the use of the GTK3 backend might be the
root cause of the problems, and a switch to GTK2 (by installing the
libreoffice-gtk2 package) might solve the problem.
If this is the case, then this is probably NOTOURBUG.
