Thank you very much for your bug report!

However, I got a question. If I close the “Slides” pane, I can always show it
again via the menu: Just selecting the entry “Slide Pane” from the menu “View”
toggles the visibility of the “Slides” pane, i.e. hides or shows it again, as
appropriate. This works fine for me. (Tested with LibreOffice 3.5.6.2 [= your
version] AND with LibreOffice 3.6.2.1, build ID: ba822cc, both on Mac OS X
10.6.8 Intel.)

Can you please test if “View > Slide Pane” has the same effect for you, or if
it does not work at all on your installation?
