          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 55507
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Frequent crashes on sheets with high number of textual
                    content
          Severity: critical
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: All
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: unspecified
         Component: Spreadsheet
           Product: LibreOffice

I'm reporting a bug here that has been in Libreoffice 3.4.0 since I moved over
from OpenOffice. OpenOffice does not have this major issue and I don't even
know why I'm still using Libreoffice.

LibreOffice Calc crashes frequently. I have had this problem on all major
version releases since 3.4.0.

The file that always crashes is an Excel sheet that contains textual
translations for a website. Think lots and lots of columns filled with just
text and no calculations.

After a while of using the sheet, when you enter a new bit of text and press
ENTER, Calc will crash. Saving the file before you press enter, seems to
sometimes prevent a crash.

There is no clear indication of what leads to the crash other than the passage
of time and use of the sheet.

It's bloody annoying.
