Sounds like you are picking up the "Number Lists" style default Character style
that is clobbering your direct formatting.
Instead of Direct Formatting each list, set your default Character style
"Numbering Lists" to use LSN at 10 point.
For a better understanding of advantages of using styles/templates here please
see the work by Bruce Byfield -- Designing with LibreOffice [1]
To apply you'll remove the Direct Formatting for each list, and then apply the
revised default style(s), and any new lists will pick up the correct font from
style.
If you need to use multiple list formats--create a style (font/weight/color
etc.) for each. You'll want to capture any customized styles to templates--or
you'll have to reset from defaults for each new document started.
